True Discipleship
Teaching:
Jesus is not a prosperity gospel teacher.
Discipleship is a journey to self-denial.
Following Jesus requires the cross.

Reject prosperity gospel.
Deny ourselves of worldly pleasure.
Embrace the cross.

Are we following Jesus in His way?
Prayer:
Lord, it is easy to worship and follow You when everything is well and good. I know the time will come when my faith will be tested, and difficulties will come my way. Following You may become nearly impossible. By that time, I pray that You will keep my faith strong, enabling me to continue following Jesus. It is my desire to serve You at all times, even in the toughest moments of my life. I want to serve You and honor You, not in my way but in Jesus’ way. I pray this in Jesus’ name, amen!
