The Persistent Widow- Luke Chapter 18

The Persistent Widow

Scripture: Luke 18:1-8

Teaching:
God tests our faith.
Prayer must be persistent.
God is good, just, and gracious.

Application:
Never stop praying for our unbelieving loved ones.
Pray that God will touch every aspect of our lives.
Be persistent until God answers.

Discussion:
What hinders us to be persistent in prayer? Why is being prayerful important to our Christian life?

Prayer:
Father, You are good, just, and gracious. You are merciful, holy, and generous. Please answer when I call. Have mercy on my unbelieving loved ones and friends. Save them. Open their hearts and minds so that they may understand and embrace the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ. It is my desire to see them as worshippers of You. Please teach me to pray and not give up. I pray that You will meet all my needs, sustain me and my family, and let me experience Your goodness. In Jesus’ name, amen!
