Obey as Soon as Possible
Teaching:
Delayed obedience is delayed blessings.
God does not ask for our approval.
Pride, doubt, and comfort are enemies of prompt obedience.
Application:
Do not reschedule God’s blessings.
Treat God as Boss not an employee.
Obey quickly for God does not make mistakes.
Discussion:
Is there something God wants you to do immediately? Why should you obey as soon as possible?
Prayer:
Lord, I praise You because of the truth that You never make mistakes and therefore I should obey You immediately. Please grant me humility, faith, and courage to fight pride, doubt, and comfort. It is my desire to obey You as soon as possible. Do not allow me to miss Your blessings just because I fail to obey quickly. Do not allow me to postpone or delay Your blessings just because I am stubborn. Let me practice prompt obedience. I pray this in Jesus’ name, amen!
