Jesus has Set Us Free- John Chapter 8

Jesus has Set Us Free

Scripture: John 8:3-11

Teaching:
Jesus wrote the Ten Commandments to show we are all guilty.
We do not have the right to condemn others.
We are free from sin not free to sin.

Application:
Do not condemn others.
Practice grace because we all need grace.
Go and sin no more!

Discussion:
What is the importance of knowing that God’s grace in Christ means we are free from sin and not free to sin?

Prayer:
Father, thank You for Your grace and for the forgiveness of sins. Jesus has set me free. I am no longer a slave to sin but have become a slave of Christ and His righteousness. Thank You, because Your grace is sufficient to carry me through the ups and downs of my Christian life. Whenever I sin, Your grace draws me back to Christ. So, Lord, help me live a life of holiness. Help me extend grace to others just as I receive grace from You. I pray this in Jesus’ name, amen!
