What are Micro-Churches?

The Idea of a “Micro-Church” is based on the New Testament church model that yielded rapid growth, effectiveness, and cost-efficiency. The Scriptures reveal that the early church utilized homes as gathering places like in the following verses:

Acts 2:46 – “breaking bread in their homes.”
Romans 16:5 – “Greet also the church in their house.”
1 Corinthians 16:19 – “the church in their house”
Colossians 4:15 – “the church in her house.”
Philemon 1:2 – “the church in your house.”

These are called “house-churches”, small gatherings of believers for worship, studying the Word of God, prayer, and strengthening of one another. In our time and context, we are not limiting our gathering to our houses, we can gather wherever we can freely and effectively operate our spiritual activities such as coffee-shops, public parks, campuses, etc. Therefore, the term “micro-churches” is more appropriate, as it accurately depicts the Biblical image of a small group of believers that meet together for spiritual activities wherever they can freely gather.

Our VISION

OUR VISION IS TO SEE A MOVEMENT OF MILLIONS OF COMMITTED FOLLOWERS OF THE LORD JESUS CHRIST MEETING IN SMALL GROUPS AND TRANSFORMING LIVES, FAMILIES, COMMUNITIES AND NATIONS, FOR THE GLORY OF GOD.

STATEMENT OF FAITH

What We Believe

God

We believe in one true, ever-living and ever-loving Almighty God, holy and sovereign, creator of all things visible and invisible and eternally existing in three Persons; Father, Son and Holy Spirit, distinct yet one in being and essence and co-equal in power and glory.

Jesus Christ

We believe in the deity of the Lord Jesus Christ. He is God incarnate, truly God and truly man. We believe in His virgin birth; in His perfect, sinless life, in His miracles and teachings; in His vicarious and sacrificial death and the atonement of sin through His shed blood; in His bodily resurrection; in His ascension to the right hand of the Father and in His personal return in power and glory.

Holy Spirit

We believe in the deity and power of the Holy Spirit and His present ministry. He regenerates, indwell, sanctify, comfort, and empower believers. He is the Seal by which the Father assures the security of the believer.

The Bible

We believe that the Bible, comprised of the 66 books covering the Old Testament and New Testament, is the inspired, inerrant, infallible and authoritative word of God. It is God-breathed, and the complete and final authority in our beliefs and practices.

Salvation

We believe that the salvation of lost and sinful man is a free gift of God and is attained by grace alone through faith alone in Jesus Christ alone, according to the Scriptures alone and to the glory of God alone. We believe in the forgiveness of sin, the bodily resurrection of believers and eternal life.

Church

We believe in the spiritual unity of the church, which is the body of Christ, composed of all true believers of the Lord Jesus Christ. We believe in the Ordinances of Baptism as a testimony to Jesus Christ and identification with Him and of the Lord’s Supper as both a remembrance of His death and shed blood and affirmation of Christ’s real and actual presence in our gatherings.

Things to Come

We believe in the visible and triumphant final coming of Jesus Christ in power and glory to culminate God’s redemptive plan for His creation. It is our blessed hope and is prophesied in the Scriptures and promised by the Lord Jesus Christ Himself.
