Hungry and Thirsty for God’s Word
Teaching:
Believing in Jesus is not an empty word.
Abiding in Jesus’ word includes spiritual thirst and hunger.
A true disciple is a believer and a doer of God’s Word.
Application:
Pray for a deep longing to understand the Bible.
Study the whole Bible as one big story of redemption.
Aspire to become rich in obedience.

Prayer:
Lord, I pray that You will make me thirsty and hungry for Your Word. Give me a deep longing to understand the Bible. I pray that You will enrich my mind with spiritual knowledge and understanding. I also pray that You will make me rich in terms of obedience. May I grow in both knowledge and obedience as I abide in Your Word. I pray this in the mighty name of Jesus, amen!
