Prepare for the Day of Judgment
Teaching:
God controls all powers and authorities (17).
God judges those who are irresponsible (24)
We must speak truth to power (27).
Application:
Acknowledge that God is the source of all human positions and possessions.
Be a good steward of the authority that God has entrusted to us.
Rebuke those people in authority with God’s truth.
Discussion:
How can we be a good steward of God’s authority entrusted to us?
Prayer:
Sovereign Lord, I am sorry for not being a good steward of my position and possessions. Forgive me, Lord, for not being mindful of Your sovereignty. I recognize that all authority and property I have come from You. Someday, I will give an account for all the things You have given me—including opportunities, power, and wealth. From now on, Lord, I pray that You will teach me to become a manager and not an owner of everything I have. Prepare me for the Day of Judgment. In Jesus’ name, amen!
