God Gave Us an Obedient Heart
Teaching:
God’s New Covenant means giving us a new heart.
God’s law is written in our hearts through the Holy Spirit.
God saved us by grace and made us obedient by grace.
Application:
Ask God for a new and obedient heart.
Listen and obey the voice of the Holy Spirit.
Believe that we are saved by grace and made obedient by grace.
Discussion:
Why is it important to know that in the New Covenant, God’s grace has given us an obedient heart?
Prayer:
Heavenly Father, please teach me Your laws. Write them in my heart and make me obedient. I pray that Your Holy Spirit will continue to teach me Your ways. I believe that I am saved to serve. Your grace saved me, but You did not stop there. The grace that saved me is the same grace that transforms me. Thank You because You have given me an obedient heart. I am confident that I will be able to obey because You keep and preserve me now and forevermore. In Jesus’ name, amen!
