War Between Spirit and Flesh
Teaching:
The most important kind of peace is peace with God.
A person who follows the flesh is heading to destruction.
A person who follows the Spirit is heading to salvation.
Application:
Hold on to Christ’s work of reconciliation.
Crucify the desires of the flesh.
Live according to the dictates of the Spirit.

How can we practically crucify the desires of the flesh?
Prayer:
Lord, I used to live according to the evil desires of my flesh. Now, I praise You because You have sent Your Spirit to wage war against my flesh. I now have the chance to follow Your will by yielding to the leading of the Spirit. Please enable me to live a holy life, overcoming the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life. Crucify the works and desires of my flesh. Set me free. I pray this in Jesus’ name, amen!
